I have the yellow and blue and although this braided dog toy is made of fleece, it is still woven tightly (but not too tight) and seems like a very sturdy toy for your dog. If you own pets, then you know that you will ALWAYS have dog or cat hair on your clothes. And, it's worse when you wear black! You know what I mean...you're furniture is just that...FURniture!
I can't tell you how many times I've went to work with dog hair all over me. I'm constantly pulling off what I can, or using a Dollar Tree lint brush roller, only to have the handle break or the sticky stuff not tear off right.
That' why I was so thrilled, but curious, when I received the Fabric and Lint Shaver to review. No more pulling off that sticky tape, no more broken handles and no more running out and buying another lint roller.
The Fabric and Lint Shaver has a plug in adapter, that you can plug in, to continuously run and use the shaver. It also has a compartment for four (4) C batteries (not included), if you want to take the shaver with you, to use when needed. It has an On/Off button to power the shaver. The Fabric and Lint Shaver was bigger than what I expected, but that's not a bad thing. I was actually impressed by the looks of it. Not only was I impressed by the looks, by how well it worked as well.
The Fabric Shaver has a 2.5 inch shaving head, that sucks up loose lint, hair, loose fabric balls, loose threads and fuzz from clothing. Not only does it work on clothing, but you can use it on your couch (especially if you have a cloth or fabric couch), curtains, blankets and carpets. The Fabric and Lint Shaver removes the fuzz from the top layer only and gently suctions it up into the shaver bin.
Once the bin is half way full, you can detach the bin from the shaver, empty the remains and replace. The detachable bin is very easy to remove and put back on, but at the same time, is sturdy and will not easily come off, unless you press both sides to slide it off.
You may have to maintenance the shaver after several uses, depending how often you use it. There is a little printout that comes with the Fabric and Lint Shaver, to explain how to maintenance the shaver. Simply put, you would have to remove the outer shaver head, CAREFULLY remove the blades and wipe with the small cleaning brush that comes with it, to get rid of any buildup. Replace blades and protective head. For best performance: While the protective covering is off the shaver, wipe the INSIDE of the protective cap with a silicone spray or light oil, replace cap and run over a scrap piece of fabric, to remove any excess oil.
I've used this a couple times already, to remove pet hair from my pants. I can tell you it works great on pet hair and loose threads. I've yet to try it on a fuzzy sweater, but I can't wait!
