Unwind and Relax with this Lightweight Reclining Camping Chair

I love camping.  I love the idea of just sitting back, unwinding and enjoying what nature has to offer.  Okay...when I say camping, what I really mean is...Glamping!  My family and I started out camping in a tent, then we eventually graduated to a camper.

No matter what, I love spending time outdoors, with nothing but the sound of chirping birds, other campers and the smell of camp fires all around!  It's so peaceful.  What is even more relaxing, is when we pull out our reclining chairs and listen to some music.

One of the reclining chairs, that I found really comfy, is this lightweight reclining camping chair, sold by Roraima on Amazon.  This chair can either be used as a regular chair - sitting straight up...or...as a reclining chair!  I've seen other chairs similar to this, and even own a couple, but never one that also reclines.

The Lightweight Reclining Camping Chair is easy to set up, easy to maneuver to the reclining state and easy to store.  It's not only great for camping; but also great for those ball games, the beach, music concerts and more.  The chair can hold up to 200 lbs and is easily portable.  The reclining camping chair comes with it's storage bag, for when not in use.

I've tried this chair out, several times in one day, and loved just how comfy it is. My dear husband (God bless him) thinks he is going to steal this chair from me...We will see!

Trying this chair out, before camping!

Are You A Happy Camper? Show Your Enthusiasm With This Personalized T-Shirt

How many of my awesome readers are camping fanatics?  How often do you find yourself on a camping trip, even if it's just for the weekend?  I know I am a camping enthusiast and love to camp, whenever I get a chance.  Sure, it may just be for one or two nights, but I just love getting away from all the noise, traffic and commotion of a small town - just to relax and enjoy the peace with other campers.

When we first bought our camper, we had to have everything camp related; personalized name flags, bright and colorful lights that adorned our campsite, chairs and even holiday themed decorations.  These things just make it more personal...AND FUN!

I also love personalized t-shirts, as shown here.  It's perfect to wear when I go camping; as if other campers don't already know we are 'Happy Campers' but I also love wearing this when I'm not camping.  I love the bright colorful lettering on this purple t-shirt, as well as the cheerful colored camper.  It really stands out from all the other Happy Camper t-shirts and this is definitely customized for us gals!

This awesome t-shirt is from Houndstooth & Polka Dots Etsy Shop.  This shirt, more specifically the camper on this shirt, reminds me of a 70's theme and it's such a fun shirt to wear!  The words, 'Happy Camper' is done in different patterns, colors and designs, ranging from chevron, floral to animal print. No wonder I love it; All my favorite patterns in one shirt!

This t-shirt is a heavy cotton shirt (but does not feel heavy) that is so soft and comfortable.  It is a Gildan Brand t-shirt, and if you are familiar with Gildan Brand, you know that it is a brand that will hold up well.  I've had several work shirts that are Gildan brand and I still have them, after 3 years of receiving them from our work order.

This shirt is 100% pre-shrunk and has a very nice screen print on the front.  I am so happy to own this t-shirt and I know it sounds cliche', but it makes me happy when I wear this during camping season!

Houndstooth & Polka Dots has 77 different items to choose from.  Their shop has screen printed t-shirts and hoodies, ranging from Happy Campers to your sports teams.  They all look so awesome and each shirt and hoodie has varying patterns and colors.

Melissa, owner of Houndstooth & Polka Dots, does custom orders for retail stores and school groups.  Go check her out on her Etsy Shop!

Memorial Day Weekend - What are your plans?

Memorial Day weekend is a busy weekend for most.  Some of us will grill for the family, some will travel to be with families and some will spend the weekend relaxing...at a campground!

I fall in the latter part...I love to camp, especially when it's a holiday weekend. Camping for me and my family is a way to get away, a way to just relax, even if it's only for a short amount of time.

Now, I'm not the type who will drive half a day just to camp.  I want to spend most of my Memorial Day relaxing my a nice cool stream, lake or river and enjoying the sunsets at the end of the day.  Some of the things we will do (on our short mini vacation) is grill, have some ice cold beverages and maybe take up a hike or a walk to enjoy the scenery.

After many many year of camping at the same campgrounds, it's time for a change.  I'm yearning for something new, something more adventurous and something that will promise a fun time.  I'm constantly searching for new places, places I've never been.  Some of the places my family and I have camped are Wappapello Lake, Missouri, Van Buren, Missouri and West Memphis, Arkansas, which is right on the border of Memphis, Tennessee.

Van Buren (Current River) campgrounds has several campgrounds to choose from...Current River Campground, Van Buren Campground, Big Spring RV Camp, Big Spring Campground and Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park. Floating down Current River is one of the main attractions, while in Van Buren, and although you don't have to camp to float, it's always nice to have a camp site to relax afterwards...although floating can be totally relaxing. I love to float.  You spend hours floating down the river on a tube or in a canoe. It's a time to lay back, relax and enjoy the warm sun beaming down on you. During your journey, you will see many houses that sit on top of high cliffs and hills, inviting you to enjoy the marvelous view of each house.

Van Buren is one of my favorite spots to camp.  There are people of all ages, young and old, that you will find camping.  You make new friends and everyone is so friendly!  I love the whole camping by the river, dipping your feet into the cool water and enjoying background music from all the campers.

As a matter of fact...I've just reserved my spot at Current River Campground on Memorial Day weekend and I can't wait!  Some of my favorite places to stop and enjoy a bite at Van Buren are Float Stream Restaurant and Jolly Cone Drive In.

JOLLY CONE DRIVE IN

Jolly Cone Drive In is the perfect place to grab an ice cream cone after a hot day on the river.  You have tons of options when it comes to flavors and toppings. Float Stream Restaurant is a great place to dine for some down home country cookin'!  You can expect to find fried chicken, meatloaf and many side items that will have you leaving full.  I've dined here on my last visit to Van Buren and the food was awesome!  Food arrived fast, hot and I devoured every morsel of food on my plate!

So, if you're ever in Van Buren, Missouri, check out the campgrounds, be adventurous and try your hand at floating.  It'll be an experience you won't want to miss out on.

Supernova 300 Ultra Bright LED Camping Lantern Review

Many of you may not know, but I LOVE camping!  I'm not saying I would want to spend over a week camping, but I do love to have just a few days, chilling and doing nothing.  I would prefer somewhere with a nice scenery...trees, water and other campers.  There were times when all I had was a tent or a pop up camper, without a bathroom, and I would have to walk, in the midst of a dark campground, to the nearest bathroom.  AND...I will be the first to admit...I'm kinda scared of the dark, especially if I have to be out in it alone!

That is why I am thrilled to have been accepted to review this awesome Supernova 300 Ultra Bright LED Camping Lantern!  This baby will come in handy when it comes time to go camping again.  Yes, I have a camper that, now, has a bathroom...but sometimes my hubby and I may want to take a walk during the night, or have to go look for wood for the fire.

This Supernova 300 Ultra Bright LED Camping Lantern requires three D batteries.  I was a little disappointed that the lantern didn't already come with the batteries, but that was soon forgotten, as I knew I could grab a two packages of D batteries for only $2.00.  The lantern has three light settings...normal, ultra bright and a blinking setting.  I can vouch for this lantern, the second light setting IS ultra bright and would light up any area!

I also love the fact that it has a handle on top, for you to hang.  It also has a small latch on the base of the lantern if you want to hang it upside down. The box it came in showed the lantern hanging upside down, with the LED light exposed.  The battery compartment was not hard to open, but once I put the batteries inside the lantern and tried shutting the batter compartment, I found it a little difficult to get it closed.  I worked with it several minutes until I realized (dummy me), that inside the battery compartment, there were two red arrows.  You are to line these two arrows up and then twist to close!

Overall, I found that this Supernova 300 Ultra Bright LED Camping Lantern perfect!  It will serve as an extra light that I can carry around when camping AND if we have any more storms, like we had in the past, where the electricity goes off, I have my handy dandy LED lantern.

You can get your Supernova 300 Ultra Bright LED Camping Lantern at Amazon.  I believe you will find this lantern very handy in those times when needed.
