Mineral Eyeshadows For That Overall Beauty Look

I  have become a big fan, and a believer, in mineral makeup.  I love how long the mineral makeup lasts, how very little you have to use to get your desired look and how awesome it looks when wearing it.  I don't know if I can ever go back to the pressed department store makeup after using mineral makeup. The older I get, the more I want to have a more natural (and sometimes dramatic) look without looking older.

When it comes to eyeshadow, I typically stick to the neutrals.  I have brown eyes and brown hair, therefore, I usually stick to the browns or even a deep wine color eyeshadow.  I haven't braved the other colors that are supposed to go well with brown eyes, but I sure am going to try at least an olive color one day!

Overall Beauty Minerals has these awesome eyeshadow sets that I recently tried.  There is this light brown set I tried, that covers every color that I am used to using every day.  Each color in this set compliments, not only every eyeshadow color in this set, but also goes well with brown eyes.  

I'm wearing Velvet, Champagne & Snow

I experimented with several of the colors and LOVED how they looked. In the set that I received were these colors:

The ones I've used the most were the Velvet (my favorite), Ivory Lace and Snow.  I used Velvet as my main color for my lids and the Ivory Lace and Snow as a brow highlighter, with the Snow as a highlighter for inside the corners of my eyes.

If you want a more subtle look, just sweep on the eyeshadow with a dry eyeshadow brush.  For a more dramatic, darker look, use a damp eyeshadow brush and experiment until you get your desired shade.  I also use the mineral eyeshadow as an eyeliner.  Just wet your eyeshadow liner brush and apply as an eyeliner!  I found that I could get two different looks, just by applying Overall Beauty Minerals eyeshadow wet and dry!

Baby Cakes Organic Blush - A Soft Pink Rose Blush by My Organic Beauty

You've probably have heard, if there's just only one makeup item you just gotta have, it's mascara.  Okay...what if we could have two items?  I would definitely pick mascara AND blush!  Mascara is great for giving your eyes an extra oomph, but blush is what is going to give my face a little color.  

I'm not gonna lie....I NEED my makeup. God forbid, I ever go to work without it! Makeup, to me, just seems to put everything together...to create and enhance your face like no other.  I am starting to become more and more in love with mineral makeup. Another item that I really really love is My Organic Beauty's bronzer.  Many people use bronzer to give their face a golden sun-kissed look or maybe a nice golden tan look to their face.  What do I use the bronzer for?  AS BLUSH!  Yep, there's just something about using a bronzer as blush and I love the color.  I get a natural looking color that blends with my skin tone.  

Most mineral bronzers, to me, have some sort of a brown shade to it.  There are light bronzers, all the way up to a darker brown bronzer.  Although these bronzers are some shade of brown, when applied to my cheeks as a blush...it doesn't give me that brown look.  It almost has a hint of rustic look (I really have no way of describing this) but with a hint of color.  Top this bronzer off with a little highlighter above the cheeks and you have a winner!

I love the look of this bronzer, as a blush!!

Korres Volcanic Mineral Mascara Review

If it's one thing I can't do without when it comes to makeup, it's mascara and foundation. Ok, that was two, but anyway, I have to have some type of definition to my eyes.  Without mascara or eyeshadow, my eyes just get lost in my face...literally.  I have small eyes and I need something that is going to make them 'pop'.

Thanks to Net Market on Ebay, they were kind enough to send me a sample of their Korres Volcanic Mineral Mascara.  This mascara is a little different than most, but goes on the same and feels the same as the rest.  The first thing about the Korres Volcanic Mineral Mascara I noticed, was how Black the mascara was.  I love black mascara and it's the only color I use, but this IS really a dark black mascara. Maybe it's because it is derived from volcanic soil...that's right...If you didn't notice the name, this mascara is actually derived from volcanic soil and is also a mineral based mascara.

Faces Beautiful Brush On Liquid Mineral Makeup Review

I love makeup!  And I especially love a foundation, that I find, that gives me a flawless look, a total finish and doesn't look caked on or bring attention to my fine lines around my eyes.  I'm always looking for that perfect foundation.  To me, a perfect foundation sets the grounds for the rest of your makeup to look perfect and well blended.

Faces Beautiful has a brush on liquid makeup, that is mineral based and goes on with a squeeze of the tube.  I will admit, this is the first I've seen a foundation, that you just brush on.  I was kind of leery at first, when I seen how this liquid mineral foundation was applied.  At first I thought...This is not going to go on and blend smoothly.  Boy was I wrong!  I loved how easy it was to apply and even more, how well it blended!

Yes, at first, I may have squeezed a little too much onto the brush, but then I found, that was easily solved.  All I had to do, was brush the foundation all over my face, until well blended and then took the extra and applied it to where I needed more.  The makeup was a perfect color and tone to my skin, as I have light to medium skin, so I ended up with the Radiant Beige.  What I also love about this makeup, it was neither too greasy, oily or thick.  It was the perfect consistency, for me.

The tube has an On/Off cap.  When you want to apply the liquid mineral makeup to the brush, turn the cap to On.  When you have dispensed the right amount of makeup, then turn the cap to Off.  This will prevent any extra from coming out of the tube.  The brush part of the foundation does not need to be cleaned or washed.  There's no need in using your fingers or a sponge to smooth the foundation out, as this is all taken care of by the brush.
