Kitchen Deluxe Vegetable Steamer + Julienne Peeler

We all know that vegetables are good for us, but eating them raw just doesn't seem to appetizing.  The only vegetable I like eating raw, are bell peppers (green, yellow and red.) Broccoli, cauliflower and green beans, those have to be cook, for me any ways.  Before I received the Kitchen Deluxe Vegetable Steamer, I used to boil my veggies because I never thought about steaming them (mainly due to I didn't have a steamer.)

This Kitchen Deluxe Vegetable Steamer is so cute!  I know, it's a silver kitchen accessory, but I never seen anything so neat.  It starts out closed up, then you spread apart the silver steamer until it's opened like a platter.  So Cool!  To use the steamer, you place about 1/2 inch of water in a pot, place your veggies in the steamer then place the steamer in the pot of water.  With no more water that is in the pan, your veggies should steam instead of cook or boil.

What's even cooler, is that this Kitchen Deluxe Vegetable Steamer came with a julienne peeler.  It's not your average potato peeler or vegetable peeler, but an accessory that you can use to julienne your veggies.  I love how light this feels, but the blades are definitely sharp to the touch.  I tried this on a cucumber and it worked very nicely.  Both the steamer and the peeler are 100% stainless steel.  The vegetable steamer adjusts to the size of various pots, by opening it to the desired position.  

Both are dishwasher safe.  There are so many ways you can use this steamer, from steaming your veggies to using it as a fruit platter or tray.  You can steam and serve rice as well as poultry, meat and pasta.  Steaming is the way to go.  It's healthier for you, it saves on unwanted calories that comes with frying and the steamer collapses for easier storage.  I couldn't get over how small and compact this steamer starts out and how much it expands.  

This is totally a must have for any kitchen and anyone who is watching how they eat and makes for a great as a holiday, guest or shower gift.
