Eagle Pro Fitness Wrist Wraps Combo

When working out with weights or a barbell, it's always good to have a good pair of wraps to help support your wrists.  Normally, I don't wear wrist wraps, but have found in the past, my wrists would hurt or I just couldn't keep the form when lifting heavier weights.  Now mind you, I'm not a bodybuilder or lifter, but I have lifted weights when working out...to build a little muscle.

These Eagle Pro Fitness Wrist Wraps Combo are the perfect tool to have if you're going to do some weight lifting.  After using these wraps for only a 2-3 times, I found that these wraps supported my wrists like no other wraps.  These wraps are very sturdy and are easy to use. These wraps are extra wide and are fully adjustable with a Velcro closure.  They have a thumb loop for easy wrapping and helps keep the wrap in place when unwrapping from around your wrists.

Using wrists wraps are said to not only help support your wrists, but to also help avoid any injuries when using weights.  I can see, after using these wraps, how they allow you to lift and perform better.  This wrap combo also comes with lifting straps.  These straps allow you to lift weights and help increase the reps and increase the weight.

If you are into lifting weights, are trying to be a bodybuilder or just need extra support when lifting weights, you can purchase your wrap combo HERE.

Diet Enlightenment Book Review

I'm always looking for the newest info, next best product or anything that has to do with weight loss!  I lost 20lbs about 5 years ago and kept it off approximately 2 years...until I had to get on blood pressure medicine.  Ever since then, everything started to go down hill...well, not everything, just my workout routing, eating right, etc.

Now, I'm not blaming my weight gain (after my weight loss) on my blood pressure meds, but it took about 3 weeks to get me straightened out to where I didn't want to sleep all the time, feel lethargic and tired with no energy, not to mention I always felt light headed.

Now that everything is straightened out and I've gained all my 20lbs+ back, I'm ready to hop on board and get myself into shape before summer ( I don't have much time left)!  I was excited to have the opportunity to read and review the Diet Enlightenment Book, that was provided to me in an ebook format.

Within the first couple pages or chapters, the author expresses how some diets claim to avoid certain foods, claim to eat certain foods and even eating them at certain times of the day.  There is a lot of hype, lot of new info coming out about dieting and exercise, that has a lot of us NORMAL people confused.

The author explains, you don't have to spend all that money and time to achieve your goals or what you are looking for.  Some of these commercial diets are good and they mean well, but YOU DON'T HAVE TO SPEND THE MONEY achieving them.

What is all boils down in the Diet Enlightment Book is calories!  It's as simple as that.  If you burn more calories than what you take in....you're going to lose weight.  Majority of your weight loss is focused more on nutrition than it is on exercise.  Not to say exercise is NOT important, it is!  It's just that you can exercise all you want, but if you are still consuming more calories than what you burn, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO LOSE THAT WEIGHT!

I think I needed to hear this first hand and I've always heard this, but for some reason, I felt that there had to be shortcuts...some secret way of losing the weight.  I will admit, I've not read the whole book, but I've read half of it, and from what I have read....I CAN'T WAIT TO FINISH IT!

Did you know,  that a Waldorf salad, something healthy, has more calories than a Big Mac?  Or that there are some THIN people who can eat chicken nuggets or burgers and not gain weight.  The thing is, these people QUIT eating when they are full!  It's about portion size and quitting when you feel full...not stuffed!  Have you noticed that there are small children and teens, that will eat a few bites of a sandwich or some other food, but then suddenly quits eating, even if they haven't finished?  They have something going on here.

If we can all learn from children and teens, those that QUIT eating once they no longer are hungry, NOT STUFFED, we just may be able to lose those last few pounds.

The Diet Enlightment Book has so much valuable information and the author puts her own quirky spin and personality into this book, that it's almost hard to put down.  She is a real, down to earth person, who has been through it all when it comes to weight gain and weight loss.  She has it figured out.

If you would like to read more about the Diet Enlightenment Book, you can grab it at Amazon.  I've really enjoyed the author's enthusiasm and her "Enlightenment" of this book!

11 Piece Resistance Bands Review

There are just some times I just don't feel like setting up my Bow Flex machine (letting it down and then putting it back up).  Sometimes I TRY to get a workout in by halfway doing HIIT, the best that I can, but then there are times where I just want a good toning workout...without the big bulky machines, without a tons of equipment.

The 11 Piece Resistance Bands are the perfect accessory or equipment that anyone can have.  There are different colored bands that range in different ranges of resistance or difficulty (easy to hard) and the set also comes with a set of handles, a set of ankle Velcro bands and another attachment that looks to be for triceps.

All of the above comes in it's own storage bag that has a Velcro closure.  The bands come in black, yellow, red, blue and green and each color represents the level of resistance.  Each band also has a metal clip that attaches to the other attachments (handles, ankles bands and tricep band).

The resistance bands targets all parts of the body - chest, back, shoulders, arms and legs.  Some of the exercises you can do with these bands include: Chest Press, Seated Row, Rear Delt Fly, Lat Pulls, Tricep Extensions, Bicep Curls, Squats, Criss-Cross Outer Thigh and the Butt Blaster.

I've personally have used these bands, mainly for my arms and chest.  I can tell you, these bands, depending on the color and the resistance, can be tough!  I found that I had to go from a red (med-hard) to a blue when doing bicep curls.  I honestly believe you can get a very good toning workout from these bands and I have the sore biceps to prove it!

The 11 Piece Resistance Bands comes with a simple pamphlet, showing you the different exercises as well as instructions on how to perform each one.  It is recommended to start with a 5-10 minute warmup followed by a cool down stretch before and after your workout.  As with any exercise regimen, it's always best to consult with your doctor before attempting any workout.

I love the fact, that these bands and attachments have their own storage bag.  It makes it so much easier to keep up with all the bands and not have to see them thrown back in a corner somewhere.
