There are a few tips I would like to share, to get the most from your towel as well as making it softer.  When you first receive your towel and before the first use, place it in the washer, with a 1/2 cup to 1 cup of vinegar when the washer fills up (don't worry, your towel will not smell like vinegar, afterwards)  This helps color set and prevent fading.  Wash the towel with like colors, not dark, to prevent darker clothes fading onto the towel.  Do NOT use chlorine bleach on the towel, as it will bleach and fade the towel.  

How often should you wash the hooded towel? - After every third or fourth use.  If possible, dry your towel on the lowest setting. Boats and Planes Fun Bath Toys for Toddlers and Kids
