Christmas will be soon approaching and with only 3 months away, it seems like everyone is ready to get into the holiday spirit. Kids thinking about what they will get for Christmas, moms and dads making a list of gifts they will be giving and decorating for the holidays all seem a part of Christmas.
But...there is more to Christmas and the time of the year than just gifts and decorating. Santa's Mysterious Boot is a children's story book, that teaches the true meaning of the spirit of Christmas and it's a book I believe every child will enjoy.
Santa's Mysterious Boot begins with Santa and his boot, a magical boot that does some pretty awesome things. But when Tim and Tommy discover Santa's boot he accidentally left behind, there, things start to get pretty interesting.
I won't ruin the story by telling you what happens, but Tim and Tommy learn a valuable lesson and the true meaning of Christmas. The book is illustrated with colorful photos for children to enjoy. The book is appropriate for all ages, even us big kids at heart!
Sometimes we just need a little reminder of what is really important and after reading this book, it just gives you a sense of happiness and peace. It's truly a great book for any child's library.
You can purchase Santa's Mysterious Boot, HERE on Amazon.

Great Taste No Pain Health System Book
An author that writes books about self help, spirituality or anything in that nature. The book below caught my attention, because the issues she discusses is one that I am all too familiar with. Now, my issues doesn't run as deep or serious as hers did ( I say did, because she no longer has these issues), but digestion problems have always seem to be a problem with me, when I eat the wrong foods.
In this book, "Great Taste No Pain", Sherry Brescia discusses some of the issues many of us have with food and digestion. She explains, that you don't have to give up food you love, but combine certain foods with others, to help in digestion. Gas, bloating, constipation and heartburn is contributed by not combining foods properly. She explains in her book how she had severe problems with digestion and stomach problems, until she visited a Holistic doctor who showed her the ways to help combat this problem.
"Great Taste No Pain" does not expect you to eliminate whole food groups, count calories or even rely on meal replacement bars or shakes or even severely restrict portion sizes. The "Great Taste No Pain" does not require special foods or meal supplements, but instead, shows you how to use the food you already buy and combine them properly for easier digestion. The book contains many great recipes, easy to prepare at home.
There are 5 key Principles mentioned in this book:
1. Proper Food Combining Basics
2. Eating Fruit Correctly
3. Avoiding Processed Food and Fast Food
4. How To Choose Carbs and Fats Wisely
5. Maintain a Healthy Ph.
You get a book full of recipes, as well as a better understanding how nutrition affects your health. You get detailed explanation on how your body breaks down the food you eat and why sometimes, some of the foods you are eating now, may cause issues with digestion and your health. If you think this book is about diet, you are wrong. Some of the recipes you will find in this book are: Best Brownies Ever, Black Magic Cake, Zucchini Bread, Feta and Tomato Shrimp Scampi plus tons of other great tasting recipes.

Diet Enlightenment Book Review
I'm always looking for the newest info, next best product or anything that has to do with weight loss! I lost 20lbs about 5 years ago and kept it off approximately 2 years...until I had to get on blood pressure medicine. Ever since then, everything started to go down hill...well, not everything, just my workout routing, eating right, etc.
Now, I'm not blaming my weight gain (after my weight loss) on my blood pressure meds, but it took about 3 weeks to get me straightened out to where I didn't want to sleep all the time, feel lethargic and tired with no energy, not to mention I always felt light headed.
Now that everything is straightened out and I've gained all my 20lbs+ back, I'm ready to hop on board and get myself into shape before summer ( I don't have much time left)! I was excited to have the opportunity to read and review the Diet Enlightenment Book, that was provided to me in an ebook format.
Within the first couple pages or chapters, the author expresses how some diets claim to avoid certain foods, claim to eat certain foods and even eating them at certain times of the day. There is a lot of hype, lot of new info coming out about dieting and exercise, that has a lot of us NORMAL people confused.
The author explains, you don't have to spend all that money and time to achieve your goals or what you are looking for. Some of these commercial diets are good and they mean well, but YOU DON'T HAVE TO SPEND THE MONEY achieving them.

What is all boils down in the Diet Enlightment Book is calories! It's as simple as that. If you burn more calories than what you take in....you're going to lose weight. Majority of your weight loss is focused more on nutrition than it is on exercise. Not to say exercise is NOT important, it is! It's just that you can exercise all you want, but if you are still consuming more calories than what you burn, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO LOSE THAT WEIGHT!
I think I needed to hear this first hand and I've always heard this, but for some reason, I felt that there had to be shortcuts...some secret way of losing the weight. I will admit, I've not read the whole book, but I've read half of it, and from what I have read....I CAN'T WAIT TO FINISH IT!
Did you know, that a Waldorf salad, something healthy, has more calories than a Big Mac? Or that there are some THIN people who can eat chicken nuggets or burgers and not gain weight. The thing is, these people QUIT eating when they are full! It's about portion size and quitting when you feel full...not stuffed! Have you noticed that there are small children and teens, that will eat a few bites of a sandwich or some other food, but then suddenly quits eating, even if they haven't finished? They have something going on here.
If we can all learn from children and teens, those that QUIT eating once they no longer are hungry, NOT STUFFED, we just may be able to lose those last few pounds.
The Diet Enlightment Book has so much valuable information and the author puts her own quirky spin and personality into this book, that it's almost hard to put down. She is a real, down to earth person, who has been through it all when it comes to weight gain and weight loss. She has it figured out.
If you would like to read more about the Diet Enlightenment Book, you can grab it at Amazon. I've really enjoyed the author's enthusiasm and her "Enlightenment" of this book!

Jack Templar Monster Hunter Book Review
I will be the first to tell you, I don't normally read books about monsters, so I was a little hesitant in reading a book that is geared more toward kids and teenagers. First off, this book is PERFECT for little boys and girls, who love monsters. It has the perfect theme and the right language for kids...and I might add...adults as well.
I found myself wanting to read more about Jack Templar and how he would become a monster hunter at the age of 14 and how these monsters KNEW he would become a monster hunter. Jack Templar noticed how his body started to change on his 14th birthday and that something big was about to happen.
Jack Templar was an orphan and barely remembered his parents. He lived with his Aunt Sophie, who was like a second mother (and father) to him. Jack comes across several people in this book, some friends, such as T-Rex and a little girl, Eva, who lets him in on who he is and what he will become.
These monsters crossed Jack Templar's path many times and it was never the same, nor a boring adventure. Now, I don't want to spoil the ending of this book, but for all of you who have little monsters yourself, they would love this book! It keeps you hooked with all the adventures that Jack Templar goes through. This book is geared to those in middle school, pre-teens, teenagers and even adults.
I thoroughly loved reading this book, and it took me back to my younger years, when I used to read books to my son. If you are interested in knowing what happens to Jack Templar and interested in all the monster hunting adventures that Jack goes through, you can grab this paperback at Amazon-Jack Templar Monster Hunter.
