A Healthier Way To Cook Your Favorite Fried Foods

I know, I know...we are mid way through the year and all; those New Year's resolutions about losing weight, eating healthier, etc., just flew out the window...well, somewhat.  We said we were going to limit the intake of fried foods, we were going to eat more veggies and even start working out; I know - I've been there...EVERY YEAR!

I will speak for myself; I love to cook, especially new dishes that I see on Pinterest - but more importantly, I love to eat!  I love fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, steaks...I'm not very picky.  But some of these foods, when cooked, are just not healthy!  Just look at all that cooking oil and butter that we use when cooking our favorite fried foods.

I could not have been happier, when I received my air fryer.  This little baby can cook just about anything that you would normally fry - or bake- in less time. Here is the air fryer that I love!  The Yongtong 1400W Air Fryer is a healthier way to prepare foods.  I've already made onion rings and homemade potato chips with it and I absolutely LOVE this little gem!

It is a 3.8QT air fryer that features a Time and Temp control.  What I really love about this air fryer, is that the handle is on the basket part, itself; making it easier to remove the basket.  I can set the time and temp and anytime I need to pull the basket out, to check on my food, the air fryer will stop - and then return to cooking, once you slide the basket back in.

You can cook fried chicken, fish, meatloaf....I can go on and on, but if you check out Pinterest and do a look-up for Air Fryer recipes, you will find a ton of them! I am just so excited and I can't wait to create a LOT of my favorite foods in this!

Here is a little more info on this awesome Air Fryer:

  • COOKING WITH AIR- Powerful rapid hot air frying circulation system gives you an oil-free, healthier alternative to enjoying fried food.
  • ADJUSTABLE TEMPERATURE & BUILT-IN TIMER- Fry, bake, grill, and roast delicious meals with a built-in temperature control (176°F-392°F) and an auto shut-off timer with up to 30 minutes of cooking time.
  • DETACHABLE BASKET WITH RACK AND HANDLE- Includes a detachable basket and a grill rack for easy transfer from the fryer to a serving dish; Equipped with a carry handle for easy transportation and storage.
  • FAST PERFORMANCE- Fast cooking performance and very short preheating time enables you to prepare a meal for the whole family in record time.
  • CLEAN COOKING AREA- Frying basket and frying tray for a quick and easy clean up. Silicone resin non-stick coating.

Another thing that I want to point out...this air fryer is a lot less expensive than the others I've come across.  If you order from Amazon, it is only $55.49 and with FREE SHIPPING!  For such a great capacity air fryer (and I've already used this twice) and for the awesome crispy onion rings that it prepared, without oil, it is DEFINITELY worth the money.

You can purchase your Yongtong Air Fryer HERE!

4 in 1 Breakfast Waffle Omelette and Sandwich Maker - White

Breakfast, as we know it, is the most important meal of the day.  It gets us going in the morning (along with a cup of java), it gives us energy and help us make it until our next meal, hopefully, lunch.  By eating breakfast, you are jump starting your metabolism.  There are many reasons why you should eat breakfast, but there are still a lot of us that keep skipping this meal.  Maybe because it's that we don't have time, before hitting off to school or work.

Well, breakfast doesn't have to be a meal that takes that long to prepare.  You may be thinking..."I have to drag out the pans, wait for the food to cook, etc.  Well, let me tell you, after trying the 4 in 1 Breakfast Waffle Omelette and Sandwich Maker, this time has been cut down.  Yes, I normally cook two eggs for breakfast, which doesn't take hardly any time at all, BUT...sometimes I get burned out on eggs and want something different...something that I will enjoy, but will not take up any more time than I have.

With the 4 in 1 Breakfast Waffle Omelette and Sandwich Maker, there are so many options when it comes to food prep.  You can easily scramble two eggs, mix in some shredded cheese, onions, mushrooms or whatever and pour them into the omelette plate.  Within 5 minutes, your omelette is done!  You can place a piece of bread into the panini tray, top it with your favorite fixings, place another piece of bread on top and wait approx. 5 - 7 minutes...Voila!  A panini!  You can get creative.  You can create your own unique breakfast.

The Sandwich Maker comes with four sets of heating trays...Omelette, Panini, Sandwich (triangular tray) and Waffle.  The Sandwich Maker's heating trays are non-stick, removable and dishwasher safe.  It has a Power On & pre-heat lights to remind you the perfect temperature.  The red power light will stay on but the green light will only come on when the temperature is right, letting you know, it's time to take your creation out.

The 4 in 1 Sandwich Maker is approximately 8.82" x 5.12" and can be stored vertically for more storage space.  It has a cord wrap on the bottom, to allow you to wrap the cord around it (after it cools, of course) if you don't want to leave it out on your counter top.  The second day I received this, I could not wait to use it.  The first thing I made...little egg pockets!  I scrambled some eggs, added a pinch of chopped onions and cheese, poured in the heating tray that has the triangular pockets and let it cook for 5 minutes...if at that!  I also got creative and made a Sloppy Joe Panini.  I took a bun, some left over Sloppy Joe mixture, added some shredded cheese on top and made me a Panini, using the Panini tray.

I will tell you, this machine is so fun to use!  If you don't already own one, I would definitely suggest you go out and purchase one.  You will be amazed at how many things you can create with this thing!  I'm thinking about Pepperoni Pizza Pockets right now!
