White Naturals Grapefruit Scrub

 

Good morning all!  Yes, it's been awhile since I've posted and I do apologize for that!  So many things have happened within the last few months, with so much going on, but what better way to jump back into things, than to continue with this awesome White Naturals Grapefruit Scrub!

I love grapefruit; I love the scent of grapefruit.  Don't ask me why, maybe it's because of the citrusy scent or maybe it's one of those scents that seem to waken my senses, but for whatever reason, I truly enjoy it.  

First, a little about White Naturals before I dig in on why I love this product.  White Naturals provides affordable, quality, organic skin care and beauty products. Now, about the product.  The first thing that caught my attention, was the beautiful color of this scrub.  The color resembles the fruity part of the grapefruit.  The actual scrub is not harsh nor contains large rough minerals, but instead, has a more finer texture to it.  The scent of the scrub has a distinctive grapefruit scent, not too harsh of a scent, but just enough that you know you are scrubbing with a grapefruit product.

I was pleasantly pleased at how well this scrub works...and feels!  I've used scrubs before and a lot of them just seemed harsh on my face.  White Naturals Grapefruit Scrub did NOT feel harsh and it left my face feeling so soft, smooth and fresh looking!  It was if my face was introduced to a facial!  

I used this scrub as my first step in my morning routine.  After using it and seeing the results it gave to my dry skin, I was hesitant about applying anything else to my face as I wanted that fresh, glowing look to last as long as it could.  I followed up with my face serum and then my moisturizer, followed by my makeup.

Alder New York - The Go-To Holistic Personal Skin Care Brand

Hello my fellow guys and gals!  Today, I want to talk to you about a skin care brand that I've recently tried.  It is Alder New York and they have a few products that I've tried and have become to trust.  Now, with any skin care product, it does take a while to see a difference, but today, I'm letting you in on why I love this brand.

First, Alder New York's products are clean, vegan and genderless.  They don't use any harmful chemicals in their products and the cleaner (but effective) the product is, the better it is for your skin.  I have slowly started using more clean products, products that are more organic and good for your skin.

Alder New York first launched in 2016 and has become to go-to holistic personal care brand for uncomplicated, high performing skin care and hair care essentials.  They do not test on animals and refuse to sell their products to countries that require it.

So, with all that being said, let's jump right into the products that I've tried.


EVERYDAY FACE CLEANSER

This cleanser feels really nice going onto my face.  It has very little, if any, foam and has more of a gel like serum texture.  It contains a low dose of glycolic acid, which is used to gently exfoliate dead skin and dirt.  It also contains Alder New York's sea botanical extract blend, which encourages collagen production and cell turnover.  This cleanser is said to brighten (which it does) and tighten.  Who doesn't want a cleanser that brighten and tighten!  

The cleanser never made my face feel dry, which is a plus and I loved how clean my face looked and felt, afterwards.  Although this is a cleanser, I also felt like it moisturized my face, as well, because my face felt so clean and soft after each use.


EVERYDAY FACE SERUM

I love serums.  I'm a sucker for serums and Alder New York's serum was a big hit in my books.  It immediately absorbed into my skin, leaving this soft subtle glow.  It is somewhat a thin serum, but very effective.  Alder New York uses 
hyaluronic acid, Vitamin B3, willow bark and rosemary extract in this serum.

The hyaluronic acid is to help plump and hydrate your skin, Vitamin B3 to even skin tone, willow bark and rosemary extract to help balance oils and skin texture.  They hyaluronic acid plumps and fills lines and wrinkles by providing moisture to your skin.  Vitamin B3 is used to reduce inflammation and control redness and evening out the skin tone.


EVERYDAY FACE MOISTURIZER

Awwww...moisturizer!  A skin's best friend!  Again, I'm a sucker for a good moisturizer and I never miss a day without it.  I use it morning and night.  Alder New York's moisturizer went on very smoothly, absorbed pretty fast into my skin (is is because my face is dehydrated or dry?) and left this nice glow to my skin, afterwards.  It did not feel sticky, tacky or oily and love that it instantly absorbed into my skin.

Alder New York's Everyday Face Moisturizer hydrates and protects your skin from daily pollutants.  It's packed with Vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, sunflower oil and oatmeal and aloe vera extract.  Whew...that's a lot of goodness in one moisturizer!  It doesn't take much of this moisturizer, just 2-3 pumps and you're good to go.

Baby Cakes Organic Blush - A Soft Pink Rose Blush by My Organic Beauty

You've probably have heard, if there's just only one makeup item you just gotta have, it's mascara.  Okay...what if we could have two items?  I would definitely pick mascara AND blush!  Mascara is great for giving your eyes an extra oomph, but blush is what is going to give my face a little color.  

I'm not gonna lie....I NEED my makeup. God forbid, I ever go to work without it! Makeup, to me, just seems to put everything together...to create and enhance your face like no other.  I am starting to become more and more in love with mineral makeup. I've been using mineral makeup for about a month, now and I just love it!

Another item that I really really love is My Organic Beauty's bronzer.  Many people use bronzer to give their face a golden sun-kissed look or maybe a nice golden tan look to their face.  What do I use the bronzer for?  AS BLUSH!  Yep, there's just something about using a bronzer as blush and I love the color.  I get a natural looking color that blends with my skin tone.  

Most mineral bronzers, to me, have some sort of a brown shade to it.  There are light bronzers, all the way up to a darker brown bronzer.  Although these bronzers are some shade of brown, when applied to my cheeks as a blush...it doesn't give me that brown look.  It almost has a hint of rustic look (I really have no way of describing this) but with a hint of color.  Top this bronzer off with a little highlighter above the cheeks and you have a winner!

I love the look of this bronzer, as a blush!!

All Natural Plant Based Bronzer - Mica Free!

I am going to be the first to admit...I have used mineral makeup and always thought it was good for your skin.  As a matter of fact, I just recently used mineral makeup this week, with last week being my first.

Organic Cotton Swaddling Blanket-I Love You by #Atelieredele

I love baby blankets!  It just seems you can never have enough of them.  I love all the cute designs, materials and the many uses you can get out of them.  This blanket, shown below, is a 100% organic cotton muslin swaddling blanket.  Muslin is a very thin material that is known to be eco-friendly and a material that is breathable, for the baby.

CoffeeCrazy's Organic & Fair Trade French Roast coffee beans come in a 12 oz. bag.  The bag does not look like your typical coffee bag, but a brown bag with a noticeable bright red label with black lettering, which catches your attention.  Once opened, you instantly get a whiff of the rich aroma from the bag.  The coffee beans are not huge, like some coffee beans I've tried, but more on the smaller size, perfect for easy grinding.

I also love the fact, that the bag has two bendable closure flaps on each side.  This is a great idea if you don't want to dump your coffee beans into a canister.  I normally grind all the beans at once and then place the ground coffee into a Ziploc Container with a lid.  This bag, however, allows you to just use what you need and then easily close the bag up with the two side strips.

The CoffeeCrazy's Organic & Fair Trade French Roast smells awesome when brewing and taste's even better.  It has a rich, bold taste, but not too bold and has that familiar French Roast taste.  I totally love this coffee!
