Be Brave Little One Wood Sign by Joyful Island Creations

I'm a big fan of wood signs.  I think they are so neat and unique and they seem to fit any theme, in any room.  When I was looking for signs for my grand-son's nursery, I wanted a theme that went well with the Woodland Animal theme his mother had for his nursery.  

The wood sign, shown below, is perfect!  It had an outdoorsey feel and look, the wording, "Be brave, little one", describes the adventure that is about to follow for my grandson, Brody.  It is a wood sign that goes well in any room or nursery.  When looking for Woodland or Forest Animal themes, you can't go wrong with personalized wood signs.

Sixlets - A Baby Shower Candy Decor

If you've ever been to a baby shower, birthday party or wedding, you may have seen a table, such as a dessert table or front door table, with short or tall vases, filled with candy.  The color of the candy is usually the same color and theme of the special occasion. 

Most likely, the candy you see in these vases, are for guests to help themselves, but also serves as a table decor.  The candy can be anything you choose, but for this specific occasion, a baby shower that I am hosting, we are using pink sixlets.

Ok, we all know what sixlets are, don't we?  I mean, for those who grew up in the 80's (such as myself), I remember going to our local convenient store and picking up a small package of these sweets!

The sixlets shown here, are by Celebrations by SweetWorks, sold by Bayside Candy on Amazon.  This is a 2lb bag of sixlets that arrive at your house, well packaged and with a cooling pouch inside, to prevent the candy from melting while being shipped.  

I am using these pink sixlets at an upcoming baby shower, but I am still unsure how I'm going to use them.  One option, is to fill one or two semi tall vases and place them on the dessert table.  Another option, is to fill the mini pink plastic baby bottle favors to give to guests.  I'm leaning more to option one, but maybe instead of dividing them out into two vases, putting them into a glass bowl. These sixlets, Celebrations by SweetWorks, are a shimmering Bright Pink, chocolate candy.  You can purchase these by 1lb or 2lb bag, depending on your needs.  For those with allergies, you will be glad to know that these are not only gluten free, but were made in a nut-free factory.

There are approximately 540 pieces per pound, so with 2lbs, you are getting approximately 1080 pieces of chocolate candy!  That's a whole lotta candy!  I am thankful for Bayside Candy for giving me the opportunity to review their Bright Shimmer Pink Sixlets.  Oh, and by the way...THEY TASTE JUST AS I REMEMBERED!

Aroma Essential Oil Diffuser Ultrasonic Humidifier LED 6 Color Changing Ionizer

I love all the wonderful smells you get with all the aromatherapy pots, wax melts and diffusers, but I especially love the smells around the holidays, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas.  With Fall here, there are many fragrances I love...Pumpkin Spice, McIntosh Apple, baked goods and more.  To me, adding fragrances and scents around holidays just adds that extra something.  It's like going back to your childhood days, reminiscing the wonderful aromas that wafted through the air, whether it would be home cooking or just the smell of holiday in the air.

What makes these smells even more wonderful, is adding color!  That's right...adding color. I was thrilled to finally have a chance to review the Vista 500ml Aroma Essential Oil Diffuser Ultrasonic Humidifier with LED 6 Color Changing Ionizer.  This diffuser comes with a small plastic measuring cup.  You add the water to the cup and then pour it into the diffuser. There are lines inside the diffuser, showing you the minimum water level to maximum water level.  Never exceed the maximum water level!  I then added a few drops of Lavender essential oil, and once I hit that mist button, I was instantly greeted with a blast of Lavender scent!  

The Vista 500ml Aroma Essential Oil Diffuser also changes colors.  There are six colors that it changes to.  The color of the light is very vibrant and you can easily tell one color from another.  The mist is controlled by a button on the diffuser, which allows you to set it from high to low.  This really does add a decorative piece to your living area and something that I enjoyed watching...almost relaxing.

The diffuser comes with a small pamphlet that explains how to operate and clean the diffuser.  The pamphlet is very easy to read and very easy to understand.  The diffuser operates up to 10 hours and should not run any longer than 10 hours a day.  It uses ultrasonic waves to vaporize the water and the essential oil, if added.  

I could spend at least an hour watching this difffuser change colors.  I honestly believe, that this is something that could relax you, after a day of work, especially when adding Lavender, that is known to calm and relax your senses.

It's Time For Halloween! Scary Jointed Zombie Clown

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays as well as favorite time of year.  Halloween is not only about ghouls and goblins, but a time to celebrate Fall, have fun dressing up, Halloween parties and yard decor!  Decorating for Halloween is so fun!  I enjoy driving around my neighborhood, spying all the front yard decorations and the imaginative and creative ways people come up with.

Visiting haunted houses and haunted forests is also on my agenda when I think about Halloween.  Who doesn't love a good scare! (Ok, some of you may not), but this is the funnest holiday for me.

You may have recently seen me posts about some of the awesome Halloween props I've received, and yet, I have another....the Jointed Zombie Clown.  Alright...don't all of you start screaming at the same time.  I know a lot of people who have fear of clowns.  I know if I have a clown plastered up next to my house, more than likely, they wont' be coming up to my door.  I get it...I think.  Well, this Jointed Zombie Clown is not your ordinary clown.  He's scary, he's frightful and he looks dead right freaky!

The Jointed Zombie Clown is taller than I am!  He stands 5 feet 6 inches tall, is made out of cardstock.  It is a cardstock cutout that you can hang on a wall or any flat surface, using tape, pins or string.  He is designed with sharp teeth, tattered clothing and a brain snow cone (I guess when I saw the snow cone, I didn't notice it was a brain!).  Frighten your family and guests with this scary clown!  I plan on hanging this little man on the outside of my garage door...that's the only place he will fit!

I plan on doing an update to this post, once I have my jointed Zombie Clown and others hung up.  It's almost time for Halloween!  Have some fun!  Splurge and decorate your yard. Have fun scaring the neighborhood kids and purchase your Zombie Clown today!
