How I Got My Old Jewelry Looking New Again!

I have so much jewelry, that I really can't tell you the exact amount of pieces I have.  I mean...come on!  How many of us gals has several places we keep jewelry; even a place (like a spare bedroom) where we hang jewelry that doesn't have a place in our jewelry box or on the numerous 'hooks' of our favorite pieces?

Getting Rid of Towel Odor Tips

Eventually, you will run across a time, where your towels may not seem up to par.  A time, where your towels may take upon some odor.  This is normal from time to time and there is a way to get those musty, stinky odors out of your towels, especially if you have a favorite towel or baby towel that you definitely do not want odors lingering.

Recently, I posted about the cute and adorable Grayson and Rose Cute Hooded Baby Towel. Now, I have a few tips, on how to keep your adorable towel smelling fresh, like new.  Below, you will find some easy and inexpensive steps in eliminating these odors.

How To Get Rid Of Odors:

     * Add a 1/2 cup of baking soda to your regular laundry detergent.  It also

        helps with increasing absorbency, brightening colors, whitening whites, 

        softening and fluffing towels.

     * Towels with stubborn musty odors: Wash with 1-2 cups of white vinegar, 

        but NO soap.  Then run the wash cycle again, this time, using soap and

        1/2 cup white vinegar in place of fabric softener. Dry promptly after the 

        second wash.

     * To avoid musty odors in the first place, avoid over loading the washing

        machine.  Move towels to the dryer, promptly, at the end of each wash

        cycle. As a reminder: set a timer on the washing machine, to remind you

        to place in the dryer.

These tips also work with pet, smoke and funky odors that have made a home in your towels.

Francois et Mimi Stacking Mug Set with Rack Review

Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE my coffee!  I have to have a cup in the morning and a cup or two in the afternoon, during work and sometime a cup at night before I go to bed.  Yep, that's right....a cup before I go to bed!

My cupboard is full of coffee cups and it's beginning to be where there is no way I can collect or buy any more coffee cups, because I have no room to store them!  Well, that is not the case with this set of 4 mugs!  These mugs come in their own holding rack and can be placed on your counter top!  I love it!  This way, these colorful and bright mugs can be displayed, out in the open, without taking up much room.

As you can see in the photo, the mugs are different colors, but the mugs also have alternating colored handles, that are not of the same color of the mugs, but compliments the colored mugs perfectly. I love the size of these mugs...they are slightly larger than my coffee cup, but about the same height.

Air Comfy Travel Pillow Review

There have been many times I wished I had a small travel pillow for those times when traveling on long road trips.  I can't tell you how often I've dozed off, in the passenger side, while my husband was doing the driving, and all I had was the side window to rest my head on.

I was happy I finally got to try out the Air Comfy Travel Pillow!  I now had a travel companion I can take with me, and something to lay my head while supporting my neck.  I wanted to try out this travel pillow as soon as I received it, so since my husband and I always travel about an hour out of town, just to be doing, I decided to take along my new companion.

The first thing I realized, when the pillow is fully inflated, was that it gave just the right amount of support for the neck and was very comfortable, without being too hard.  The pillow was the right size and had enough room on either side to rest your head one way or the other.

This pillow is not like your standard neck pillows.  It doesn't have the bulk and doesn't feel like it is suffocating you by wrapping around your whole neck, like some neck pillows may make you feel.  The pillows center part cradles the arch in your neck, giving you that support you need.  

The pillow is self inflatable.  You can open up the attached valve and let the air pillow inflate itself, or you can inflate it the old fashion way...by blowing air into it.  I found that It was faster to inflate if I just blew up the pillow myself.

What I really like about this travel pillow, is that it comes in it's own little travel bag.  This makes it handy to take the pillow anywhere with you.  All you have to do is open the valve, and begin rolling the pillow, from opposite end of valve, toward the valve to release all the air.  Cleaning the pillow is easy too.  All you have to do is take a damp cloth and wipe down the pillow to clean. It's that simple.

This pillow was so comfortable and lightweight, that I will not go back to one of those bulky neck pillows.  It's so compact and easy to carry, with the carrying/storage bag that comes with it.  This pillow can be used on airplanes, cars, buses and even at home!
