Another Great Tinsel Foil Fringe Curtain by Happy Time!

New Year's Eve...here I come! Everyone should have an awesome backdrop for holidays, parties or special occasions, especially when picture taking is involved. I love backdrops.  They just make any photo or video, pop, and can turn your ordinary photo into something special.

I've been doing YouTube videos for quite some time, but just only recently, been incorporating backdrops and backgrounds into my videos, trying to make them look more appealing and professional (I still have a long way to go!)  They are just so fun to work with, especially when you have a shiny, glitzy backdrop as this Happy Time Tinsel Foil Fringe Curtain, shown here.

I had a lot of fun, (probably my funnest) creating a video using this vibrant blue tinsel foil curtain.  This tinsel foil fringe curtain is perfect to hang in doorways, creating a fun entrance into the next room, to a party.  It's also perfect for New Year's Eve and for those baby showers and birthdays.  And...being that this tinsel foil curtain is 3.2 feet by 9.8 feet, it's plenty long enough for us tall adults.

If the tinsel foil is too long, you can always cut it at the bottom, saving the cut ends and using them to fill in any extra gaps in your curtain.  You can also cut the length you need, if using this tinsel foil curtain to decorate your tables.  There are just so many ways you can use this Happy Time Tinsel Foil Fringe Curtain and OH....did I mention this came as a 3 pack...with a package of 5 free balloons!  The balloons has this confetti inside, making them the perfect addition to your party!

I will mention, if you are using this for a doorway entrance, one curtain should be sufficient.  But, if you are wanting a fuller and thicker look, such as for videos and photos, it will definitely take all three packages.  I also added more bulk to my backdrop by taking the very bottom ends and folding them up towards the middle  and top, to give me that fullness I was looking for.  The curtains has a double sided tape, allowing you to attach to a smooth wall, but if your walls are not as perfect, skip using the self adhesive tape that is attached to these curtains and use thumbtacks to keep in place.

You can find various colors and package at:

Stay Weird and Shine On - Funky, Fun and Outrageous Christmas Wear by Shinesty

Weird, funny and outrageous; this is exactly how you would describe Shinesty's Christmas wear for the season!  Shinesty.com is know for their outrageous and fun themed clothes that range from children pj's and suits to women's dresses and underwear.  Oh, and let's not forget you guys!  Shinesty.com has weird suits and boxer briefs...also known as ball hammocks!

I had the chance to try out Shinesty's Christmas wear, but went a little more modest with their Snowflake turtleneck and a matching Snowflake Christmas suit for my 2 year old grandson.  I don't know if you guys are familiar with Snapchat, but when I first Snapchatted my grandson in his snowflake suit, I got mixed reactions; such as his mommy replying back..."What in the world!" to one of my co-workers saying how cute that Christmas suit was.

I thought he look rather handsome (but I did chuckle when I put the outfit on him.)  The toddler suit was very well made, sturdy and looked just like a real suit, with buttons down the sleeve to the matching pants.  The turtle neck I received was so soft and matched my 2 year old grandson's suit perfectly.  I thought these matching outfits would be FUN for Christmas pictures, that would also make for fun Christmas cards!

BUT....Shinesty is not only geared towards Christmas.  They also have crazy outfits for Thanksgiving, St. Paddy's Day and more.  Just imagine being the life of the party when you show up in one of Shinesty's outfits!  You may be the talk of the party, but just think how much fun your party will be!

Below are some of the fun, geeky and outrageous Christmas winter wear you can expect to find at Shinesty.com.

Now, mind you, these are just a sample of what Shinesty.com has to offer.  Remember...they have outlandish outfits for many occasions, so go check them out!  I noticed that some of my favorites are sold out, but can't wait to see what they come up with next!

Display Your Announcements on the Indigo Fern Felt Letter Board!

I can't tell you how many times, that I wished I had some sort of a board for birthdays, announcements, milestones, etc.  I was always envious of those who had the perfect setup and backgrounds that included a felt letter board that just seemed to put that finishing touch on photos.

Well....drum roll please!  I finally got one!  A 12" x 18" felt letter board that not only comes with 600 letters, characters and emojis (YES! emojis!) but an easel, cutting tool as well as twine and 4 mini clothes pins to hang precious photos.  This Indigo Fern felt letter board is perfect for those anniversaries, birthdays, bridal showers and even those who want to have a lemonade stand!

This board has 116% more space than your original 10" x 10" board and gives you plenty of room to display whatever message you want to send out.  Just think about all the endless possibilities you will have with this board.  Use it as a prop against a backdrop for those professional photos or maybe just as a reminder, sitting on your kitchen counter top.

This felt letter board by Indigo Fern includes:

*Photo Hanging Kit (2 eye hook screws, 4 mini clothes pins & 19" of jute twine)
*Easel
*Cutting Tool
*Drawstring Storage Bag.

I love that the Indigo Fern Felt Letter Board comes with a cutting tool, because if I had to cut each individual letter out with scissors, or worse yet, by hand...it would take forever!  I did find, however, that I had a little trouble keeping the easel upright, without sliding in, but hopefully this was because I had the easel on a slick surface (my counter top.)  But with careful placement, you can display your message with ease and capture that perfect moment.

It's also cool that it comes with the mini clothes pins and twine, as this is perfect to hang those photos, but I don't know how often I would use this...but many of you will.  My main purpose of this letter board will be the use of the letters, numbers, characters and of course... THE EMOJIS!

You can purchase your deluxe 12" x 18" Indigo Fern Felt Letter Board HERE - https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=felt+letter+board+B078L5LL5B

Bubbles of Fun For Parties, Birthdays and Everyday with iLearn iPlay Bubble Camera Bubble Shooter

ilearn iplay elephant bubble machine shooter and blower

Are you ready to have some fun? Spring and summer are just right around the corner and approaching fast and this is the time for kids (and adults) to get outside and start having some fun in the sunshine.

I don't know about you, but I'm NOT a winter person.  I hate the cold and I'm so ready to enjoy some days outside, just relaxing in the sun, watching my grandson play.  Our backyard looks like a playground, minus the climbing toys.  There are trucks, cars, balls and riding toys everywhere!  You would think we had a child that lives with us.

He's really going to love the outside when we bring in the bubbles; Yes...bubbles!  I recently got my hands on this cute and fun Bubble Camera and Bubble Shooter Machine by iLearn iPlay.  It's a cute blue elephant, that has multiple bubble wands in its mouth, that shoots out tons of bubbles when you fill him up.

When I first showed Brody this and how it worked, he laughed, danced and threw himself in front of the bubbles.  This, of course, was inside my house, where I only had about 10 minutes for him to enjoy it before his mommy came and picked him up.

He did not want to part with it.  He kept reaching for it as he was leaving and was not happy until he left with it.  The iLearn iPlay Bubble Camera Gun Developmental Bubble Shooter Machine is awesome for those birthday parties, kids activities and even for those professional looking pictures when you want to include bubbles in your photos.

The iLearn iPlay Bubble Camera Shooter comes with a bottle of bubble solution.  The bubble machine is easy to operate; just pour in some bubbles, hold down the button and watch your child enjoy hours of fun, romping through bubble galore!  The iLearn iPlay Bubble Camera Shooter Machine is great for developing social interaction, cognitive process, color identification as well as play and life skills.

The iLearn iPlay Bubble Camera Shooter Machine is safe and durable.  It is made of non-toxic ABS plastic.  You can place this bubble machine up on a table, inside or outside, so kids can run through the bubbles.  The Bubble machine requires 2 AA batteries (not included).  The only batteries I had were old and not new, so imagine the tons of bubble fun when new batteries are used!

Let's Go Bowling! A Deluxe Super Set Bowling Game For Kids

Strike!  No, it doesn't mean you're out, but is something I always wanted when I used go bowling on the weekends, with friends.  I had so much fun, trying to get as many pins down, but this game seemed to always defeat me! Sometimes it was three pins, sometimes it was one and other times...GUTTER!

I don't bowl, anymore, but I still love the sport/game.  Now, little ones can join in on the action with their own bowling set.  This bowling set is the Deluxe Super Bowling Set for Kids by Powertrc.  Both pins and ball are very lightweight and can toted to any place you like.  The pins have a smaller ball, inside, that makes a rattle sound, making it more fun for kids to enjoy the bowling game.

The balls inside the pins jump and clatter when you knock them down.  The pins are 7" tall, while the ball is at 6" round.  Both pins and balls are made of sturdy plastic, making this perfect for kids who may seem a little competitive!  The balls and pins are bright colored, which is another reason kids are attracted to this.

Brody, my grand-son, loves to rattle the pins.  He loves to listen the the clatter they make and when it comes to any sort of ball...he has to pick it up and throw it!  I'm still trying to teach him how to actually 'roll' the ball to knock the pins down! And...why does it seem like, that every package I get, he thinks it's for him?  Very understandable.  Although he hasn't grasped what the term 'bowling' means, I still love watching him, carrying and shaking the pins.

This Deluxe Super Set Bowling Game is available at: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BUI267A.  It's a fun way to teach kids the basics of bowling, while still having fun and if you're looking for a great birthday or Christmas gift, go check out Genius Buy on Amazon.  They have tons of toys geared to any age kids.

TENKER Q5 Mini Projector Will Have Your Family Enjoying Videos, Pictures and More

After seeing my grandson react to a cartoon, that was displaying on a wall, of a projector, I knew I had to have one.  My grandson loves anything that is musical and when it comes to even short videos of his favorite, "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star", he goes into a trance and wants it played over and over.

What is better than viewing his favorite videos from a smartphone or laptop?  Seeing them enlarged on a wall!  This TENKER Q5 Mini Projector is perfect for displaying his favorites onto a larger surface.  It is a 1500 LUX LCD mini projector with a support of 1080p HDMI-USB-TF-VGA-AV for a Home Cinema, TV, Laptop, Game, iPhone and Android.

It has a 800 x 480 resolution for a brighter and sharper experience.  It is not recommend for work presentation, where there may be too much light, but suited to a more darker room, where little light shines.  If you are going to use this projector with a smartphone or tablet, you will need a WiFi Dongle (not included).

This is easy to tote around, from room to room, and perfect for taking with you on that vacation or camping trip.  I can just see myself using this projector, while camping, watching videos and more - off the surface of our camper! It comes with a remote control, cables and power cord, as well an instruction manual.  It was not hard to set up at all, especially from my laptop.  If you are familiar with the original projectors, you know they are a little larger and bulky. This projector is a mini version, but yet, not too small.  It's very sleek, smooth looking and with the black color, goes well with any home.

For best viewing results; use in a semi to dark room to get a better quality picture.  The projector is best when used at a 2m.

You can purchase your TENKER Q5 Mini Projector....HERE - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072BV1ZMV

Best Day Trips Near Kansas City

This post is brought to you by Quality All-Care, a locally owned lawn care company serving the greater Kansas City area since 1986.

The greater Kansas City area has a lot to offer! From great food to all kinds of entertainment, there’s nothing you can’t find in our metropolis. However, taking a road trip can provide a breath of fresh air and give you a sense of adventure. That’s why we put together a list of fun day trips you can take in the Kansas City area. We separated these into romantic getaways and family-friendly fun to help you find the right trip that suits you.

Romantic Getaways

If you and your partner are looking to get out of the area for some time alone and away from the chaos of everyday life, one of these road trips is just what you need.

Pirtle Winery
Distance: Approximately 33 miles or 38 minutes

Located in historic Weston, this is an easy day trip for anyone that likes wine. Get a tour of their beautiful Pirtle Winery and enjoy the unique flavors of wine they offer. Before you head back home, have dinner at The Vineyards, a five-star restaurant located right next door to the winery.

Excelsior Springs, MO
Distance: Approximately 28 miles or 34 minutes

There is a lot to do in Excelsior Springs for any couple. The Excelsior Springs Hall of Waters &Cultural Museum has relaxing mineral baths, or you can get a day pass to the Elms Resort andSpa, a great 19th-century getaway. This area has been popular since the 1800s and is the perfect spot for relaxation.

Rock Bridge Memorial State Park
Distance: Approximately 130 miles or two hours

Rock Bridge Memorial State Park is the perfect place for nature enthusiasts. This park has tons of trails to hike and bike through a beautiful landscape with some of the most popular trails in Missouri. What’s more, there’s an extensive cave system that you can explore if you don’t mind being underground.

Family Fun

There’s nothing like a fun getaway for the whole family! These trip ideas will provide a fun distraction for everyone in your household.

Gage Park
Distance: Approximately 68 miles or an hour and twelve minutes

Home to the Topeka Zoo and the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center, there’s plenty to do at and around Gage Park in Topeka. The zoo is relatively small, so you can see it in a day, and they even have a petting zoo for the kids. The Kansas Children’s Discovery Center is a fun, interactive children’s museum where kids can learn while having an exciting afternoon.

Jamesport, MO
Distance: Approximately 85 miles or an hour and twenty-eight minutes

This is a trip for people that want to truly escape city life. Amish country is only an hour and a half from the city, where people make horse-churned ice cream, ride buggies, don’t use cell phones, and don’t have the internet. We recommend stopping by the Homestead Creamery and Gingerich Dutch Pantry. These places have delicious food that’s made from scratch!

Atchison, KS
Distance: Approximately 50 miles or 56 minutes

There’s a lot to do in Atchison. The town is surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful forests, and it’s also the birthplace of Amelia Earhart. But if your family is ready to get a little spooky, take the 45-minute trolley tour where you’ll learn about how the town became one of the most haunted places in the country.

Lawrence, KS
Distance: Approximately 40 miles or 46 minutes

With the University of Kansas, Natural History Museum, and The Spencer Museum of Art, there’s too much to do in Lawrence for just a day trip. Your family can see debris from the World Trade Center, learn about Native Americans, and shop on Massachusetts Street where they have fresh candles, delicious cinnamon buns, and other greats stores for shopping. This small city won’t disappoint!

Take It From Us!

The staff at Quality All-Care has lived in the Kansas City area almost all our lives. We know the best things to do in the area, and we hope you enjoy some of these trip ideas. If you decide to take one (or all) of these day trips and don’t have the time to manage your lawn, trees, or shrubs properly, just let us know. We’d be happy to help!

Cozumel, Mexico - A Fun Family Vacation

I can't explain why I love Mexico, but there's something about this country that just speaks to me. I love the architecture, the designs and the whole environment of Mexico.  I've been to Mexico three times now, and each time is different.

This month, my family and I went on a cruise.  One of our stops was Cozumel, Mexico.  The first thing we done was a sting ray excursion.  We got to swim with the sting rays (and some fish) as well as feed them.  I will admit, I was a little hesitant, mainly because I have this fear of deep water.  When I say deep water, I'm talking about water where I cannot touch bottom!

Me snapping away on my water camera

We first listened to our guide as he explained how to use the equipment we were about to put on (snorkel, goggles and life vest.)  Now, I had the snorkel and goggles down, because I had already went through this before.  But the vest...Well, it was not your regular orange life jacket.  This was a vest where you aired it up, blowing air into this little valve and then letting the air out, but pushing this valve down.  This was scary!  What if I accidentally pushed on that valve, while swimming!!

One of the instructors, handling the sting ray

Once I had my gear on, I slowly (and I mean slowly) entered the water.  As soon as my foot left that last step...Oh yeah! I could not touch bottom. Panic mode!  After about 15 minutes in the water, I finally became a little more at ease in the water, as well as learning how to use the goggles and snorkel.  I couldn't help but to forget my fear, as I witnessed the most beautiful sting rays and colorful fish, swimming around the bottom, below me.

These creatures gently glided, back and forth in the water.  Schools of fish swam all around us and I was constantly snapping away at my water camera.  After 30 minutes swimming with the sting rays and fish, we then made our way out of this deep water, back onto the dock and then over to the shallow water, where we had our pictures taken, touching and kissing the sting rays.  After our group was done with photos, we then were given two slim looking fish.  These were to feed the sting rays.  Yeah, the fish didn't smell to great and I was a little scared to have the sting ray just come up and suck that fish from my hand.

I can't really tell you if the sting ray took the fish from my hand, because as soon as one of them came up to the fish....I let go of it!  I can tell you, however, that the fish that were already swimming around me, grabbed one of the dead fish from my hands and just tore it apart, like freaking piranhas!

To end our excursion, our guide let us pick out a hermit crab for a race.  The winners (there were three) got to pick their prize...a bag of chips or a shot of tequila.  Now come one...what do you think I went with?  My hermit crab won 3 place, so of course, I took the shot of tequila!  Hey, free liquor!

All in all, I had a wonderful time in Cozumel.  I got to explore the city, enjoy a swim with the rays and enjoyed the beauty of Mexico.  I can't wait to go on another cruise soon, and I hope when I do, one of the destinations is Mexico!

What was one of your favorite places to visit?  Why was it your favorite.  I wanna know!

Baby Shower Dirty Diaper Game

There are many items to take into consideration when organizing a baby shower. There is the food, decorations, invitations and of course, the games!  What baby shower is complete without games...especially the Dirty Diaper Game!

The Dirty Diaper Game has become one of the most popular games at a baby shower.  The game consists of diaper shaped envelopes (made of felt or other material) where one of the diapers has, you guessed it, POOP!  Ok, it's not really poop, but maybe melted chocolate to resemble a dirty diaper!

The dirty diapers are normally given to the guests as they walk in the door. The guests can pin the diaper onto their shirts, like a corsage, and when it's time to play the game, everyone will remove the diaper, open it up, and the lucky guests who has the dirty diaper, wins the prize!

These cute and adorable dirty diapers shown here, are sold by Simply Delicious Foods on Amazon and on Etsy, by Trishah55.  The diapers on Amazon are by CSM Diaper Cakes and sold on Etsy, by Trishah55.  As you can see here, there are many many designs to choose from, from baby girl themes to little boy themes. These are miniature diapers, made of felt, that comes with a small safety pin to fasten to your shirt.

The ones on Amazon are approximately 2.5" x 2.5", folded and the ones on Etsy are approximately 2.5" x 1.5" high.  You can contact Teresa at Trishah55 on Etsy if you are needing a certain theme, color or size.  There is 1 dirty diaper per set. If you order more than one set, such as two sets, you will get two dirty diapers.

This is such a fun game to play at the baby shower and will sure to bring a lot of laughs when that one person discovers they have the dirty diaper!

Balley's Casino - Tunica, MS

It's been quite some time since I've stepped foot inside a casino...mainly because I'm not much of a gambler, but because I just can't see myself spending money and not coming out ahead! (that's usually how it is with me!). When we received a promotional card from Bally's last week, to offer us $150 dollars worth in chips/tokens plus a free buffet for two people...Well, I was definitely all Gung ho for it!

Bally's is a casino that is actually located in Robisonville, MS.  Most of the casinos, including Bally's, is know to be part of Tunica, a well known place in Tennessee for their casinos.  Bally's is nothing fancy on the outside, it looks like you are about to step inside a long barn like building, kind of rustic on the outside, but full of lights, machines and action on the inside.

The first place we stopped at, inside of Bally's, was Katt's Kitchen. Katt's Kitchen is a nice restaurant, located just inside the front doors of the casino. There, we noticed a long buffet of food, more than anyone can eat.  They had everything from Southern cooked foods, to crab legs and oysters.  And let me tell you about the oysters. I have tried oysters before, on more than one occasion, and I DID NOT like them!  I did not like the gritty, chewy...almost choke on them, texture. (Ok, so I did not know you weren't suppose to chew them!). But these at Katt's Kitchen...OH MY!  They were warm and full of flavor. They were tender and had a little spice to them.  They were actually pretty good and it was the first time I liked them!

Mixed Berry Pie

They also had a dessert bar as well as a salad bar, but there was no way I could try everything!  I did allow myself to have one dessert, mixed berry pie! After dinner, we decided to play some slot machines.  The casino wasn't too busy or active, but we were playing kind of early, like 6:30 pm. After coming out $100 a head, we decided to walk away and call it a night.  All in all, I was glad to get out of the house, do something different and enjoy myself a bit.

Visit Bally's casino in Tunica, MS for fun and great food. Visit their site, http://www.ballystunica.com/

What do you like most about casinos?  Do you have a favorite casino you like to visit?  Shoot me some comments.  I'd like to know what you think

If you found this post helpful or the least bit interesting, please Share, Pin or Tweet.  I would be forever grateful!

Memory Yoga

We all remember they memory game as kids, don't we?  You know, the game where cards are faced down and you have to turn two cards over to reveal a pair and then you have to remember where the other card was located?  Well, there's a new kind of memory game out that not only exercises your mind, but your body as well.

This memory yoga game is for people ages 3 and up, and helps to improve balance, flexibility and coordination as well as clearing your mind and calming you...as yoga is known to do. This is a fun game that two or more people can play.  It introduces yoga to children at a young age and motivates them to get more active and have fun doing it.  This game is sold for only $9.99 and can be found on Amazon.

The Memory Yoga game offers two levels of play for children (and adults) and helps boosts memory and matching skills.  It consists of 36 yoga pose tiles (18 pairs).  This is a great way to get your kids involved in some kind of physical activity.  The cards seemed very durable and good quality.  This is a totally different twist on the original Memory game.  This Memory Yoga game works just like the original Memory Game but with a little more added fun.  It's perfect for children who can't sit through a whole game, without getting antsy.  This allows children to actually PARTICIPATE in the game without getting bored.

You can purchase HERE!
