Where You Can Get Beautifully Hand Crafted Jewelry On A Budget

I'm a huge fan of jewelry, especially when it comes to earrings, watches and rings.  There's probably not a day that goes by, where I don't have at least some small piece of jewelry on...because it just makes me feel good!  You can walk into any jewelry, department store and boutiques and find just about any style of jewelry you want.  But what about shopping for jewelry online...shopping for one of a kind, unique pieces?

You've probably heard me mention it before, but I love Etsy.  If you haven't shopped Etsy, you don't know what you are missing!  You can find tons of items on Etsy and most, at a fraction of the cost as what you would find in a department or specialty store.  One shop that I've become a huge fan of (and love dearly) is So Cal Knotty Etsy Shop.  Anna, the owner of So Cal Knotty, has unique and interesting handcrafted jewelry that will have you wanting to shop more!

SoCalKnotty specializes in creating Bohemian/beachy look style jewelry, where each piece is handcrafted by Anna.  I've enjoyed several of her pieces and one piece that I absolutely adore is the Wire Wrapped Clear Turquoise Blue Czech Glass Ring.  This ring is a boho style ring where you can choose the color of your band color; Rose Gold, Gold or Silver.  

This clear turquoise blue Czech glass bead is so pretty when the sun hits it and the wire wrapped band is exquisitely twisted in such a beautiful way.  I went with the gold band for this ring and I love it!  This ring would make the perfect birthday gift for that special birthday girl or as a Christmas gift for those who love unique designed rings. The best part of this ring....there are others available at SoCalKnotty in different colors!

The Jingle Cube Sensory Toys for Babies

As a mother, you know that touch and feel are an important part of a baby's learning experience.  It teaches them the different feels of textured objects (smooth, soft, textured, etc.) and it makes it an interesting experience for your baby, especially during the first year, when they are developing their touch, sight and hearing.  There are many toys on the market that allows a baby to learn by touch and feel, but the one I love most, are the handmade sensory toys from Etsy.

MadeByGigiBoutique Etsy Shop has this interesting and very popular sensory toy, that is soft, textured with minky fabric and ribbons and brightly colored. The cube even has a jingle to it (don't worry, the jingle bell is inside the cube.) This is a great toy for moms who don't want to worry about toys with sharp or hard edges and one that their babies can carry around.  

This Jingle Cube by MadeByGigiBoutique has a mixture of cotton, satin, minky and ribbon and has loops, all around, for attaching pacifiers, toys or even above a car seat.  The Jingle Cube is approximately 6" and is the perfect size for toddlers to carry around.  

The Jingle Cube is machine washable and can be thrown in the washer on gentle cycle and tumbled dry on low or can be wiped down with a damp cloth.  I love the shape of this jingle cube.  It is not your traditional stuffed toy, but a sensory toy with a purpose. These are very popular, not only on Etsy, but on many online shops. These would also make for the perfect gift for a baby shower, baby birthday or even for Christmas!

Chopper Motorcycle Burp Cloth by Toni Mateo For Kids

Burp cloths come in many shapes, forms and fashion.  They can be solid colored, printed and even customized for your new born baby.  Burp cloths are an excellent addition to any baby's nursery as well as everyday use.  Let me tell you, if you have a new baby or are expecting...you're going to need all the burp cloths you can get your hands on!

Babies will spit up, drool, etc and it's going to happen on your shoulder or chest if you are holding them.  What better way to protect your clothing, than to invest in several burp cloths.  

The burp cloth shown here, is an adorable and cute customized burp cloth, handmade by Toni Mateo For Kids.  Toni Mateo For Kids is an Etsy shop, that creates handmade items for kids.  Toni has many beautiful baby items that include: blankets, kids cardigans, kids pillow cases and burp cloths.  They are all unique and different!

This burp cloth consist of orange and black...perfect for the little baby boy.  The backing is black minky (a very popular item nowadays) and features the 'chopper' on the front, with flames all around.  The burp cloth is beautifully made and is made very well.  The stitching is awesome and the burp cloth feels so soft in the hands. It's a perfect rectangular shaped burp cloth, that is plenty long and wide to protect the clothing.  

This is probably one of the most uniquest burp cloths I've seen.  It's so different and customized for those who are motorcycle enthusiast (I assume the baby is not quite there yet!)  The chopper burp cloth colors are vibrant and bold...not faded and will be a great addition to a nursery, not to mention, a great baby shower gift!

Cute Handmade Summer Delight Full Bodied Apron by Fadiddles on Etsy

I can't tell you how many t-shirts, tops and even pants, that I have ruined, all because I did not have an apron to protect my clothes.  Most of my cooking is done on Sunday, when I don't have to work and it never fails, there is always oil that will splatter onto my shirt!  ALWAYS!

Why in the world I hadn't bought a apron is beyond me, but I was thrilled to get the chance to review, not only an apron, but a handmade apron to my liking, by Fadiddles.  Fadiddles is an Etsy store, run by Rachel Marcussen.  She creates custom made apron from scratch fabrics and materials she has on hand and I can honestly say, this is a very unique piece!

This apron is called the Summer Delight Full Bodied Apron and right now, it is currently unavailable.  Although this apron is currently unavailable, Fadiddles has another apron that is...the Zig Zag and Pom Poms full bodied apron.  If you are looking for a specific theme or color, give Rachel a shout.  She may be able to accommodate your needs.

Rachel was very great at suggesting fabric and design preferences and her Etsy store features other items, besides the apron.  This Summer Delight Apron has a cute plaid skirt like bottom, resembling a school girl kind of skirt.  It has a matching plaid pocket on the side front of the apron, to hold any kitchen utensil. The apron comes with ties around the neck and ties around the back, which can also be tied in the front.

The apron is a vibrant yellow, mixed with complimentary colors of reds, yellows, blues and purples and is machine washable.  The apron is plenty big enough to fit around me, protecting my clothing from any mishaps!  Thanks for a great apron, Rachel!

I ran across an Etsy store not too long ago, that features some adorable and cute toddler items.  Every time I see clothes, accessories or items made for babies and toddlers, I just fall in love with it.  Ruffles and Twirls is an Etsy store, that features many handmade items, not only for kids, but for women as well.

These cute adorable boot toppers are made with toddlers from age 2-10 in mind. Sizes include: 2, 3T, 4T, 5T and 6S. These boot toppers or boot cuffs can be for both girls and boys and come in several animal choices.  Ruffles and Twirls sent me the Yellow Owl boot cuffs and they are just too cute.  Other boot cuffs available are: Panda, Bear, Monkey and Penguin.  It's hard to choose just one style, when all of them are adorable.

These kids boot toppers are made to fit any children's boots...short, tall, Ugg boots and even rain boots.  They each have soft fluffy pom pom ears that set each one of these boot toppers off.  They are very easy to slide on and off your child and are made almost like a mini leg warmer, to keep your little one's legs nice and warm during the winter months.

Chunky Newborn Hat and Blanket Set by CdCk Design

I love newborn and baby stuff!  Baby items are just too cute and adorable and I forget how small the newborn clothes are!  There's nothing more special than a hand crafted piece, made from love and care that goes into a piece, for your newborn.  Taking the time to craft each piece, to perfection, is what draws me to the unique newborn items.

There's a store on Etsy, CdCk Design, that is owned by Peg.  She has some of the cutest and unique hand crafted items, not only for babies, but for adults as well.  The newborn hat and blanket set, shown here, was delivered to my doorstep very fast!  I know that it took time to knit both pieces and that says a lot about the owner of CdCk Designs!  Both the hat and the blanket are the same color.  The blanket is a chunky blanket, that is sure to keep your baby warm and comfortable. The knitted hat is just too adorable!  It has a full fluffy pom pom on the top of the hand made hat.

The materials used to create these pieces are of lambs wool and acrylic and each are made to order.  The knitted hat has a chunky pom pom, that has these squiggly accents throughout the hat.  The squiggly accents actually compliments the color of the hat and makes this piece unique.  The chunky knitted blanket is great for photo shoots and props, as well as the hat.  The blanket is approximately 25 x 28 inches, plenty big and roomy for your newborn.  The color of both hat and blanket is oatmeal, which is a neutral color that is perfect for both newborn boys and newborn girls.

These pillow pets are are so soft!  On the bottom of each pet is a velcro, that you can fasten to the other side, to turn the pillow into a pet.  When your little one is ready to lay down for the day to take a nap, just unfasten the velcro and the pillow lays flat, just the right size for your child's head.  The pillow opens up to 11 inches.

Color Up Your Wardrobe - Zhenhui Christmas Handmade Braided Multi-layers Flower Pendant Statement Chunk Necklace

I don't know about you, but when I see a vibrant, colorful, chunky necklace, my heart is instantly in love with it!  A statement piece that is bold in color, bold in materials and is totally unique and one of a kind...that's my kind of jewelry!

Previously, in my earlier posts, I mentioned the wonderful statement pieces that Zhenhui Fashion, on Amazon, have.  Their pieces are unique and different and very well made.  And when I say well made, these pieces are handmade!  So much work and details go into these necklaces and I was privileged to have received two of these awesome pieces.

The necklace shown below, is the Zhenhui Christmas Hot Handmade Braided Multi-Layers Flower Pendant Statement Necklace.  It comes in Purple, Brown and Red and is adorned with multiple crystals and colorful thread, woven in between and through the chains of the necklace.  The material consist of braided rope link and crystal with copper and zinc alloy. The pendants on this necklace are exquisite, just as the rest of the necklace.  The pendants resemble crystal flowers and shine like no other, when under the lights.  The necklace length is approximately 18" x 2.75".  

I can't get over how beautifully created this necklace is!  It's absolutely breathtaking, especially with the colorful threads woven in with the necklace that also compliments the crystal flower pendants.  The necklace lays flat against my neck and chest area, without any unevenness.   Although the necklace looks chunky and heavy...it's not.  It has a light to medium weight to it and feels really comfortable when wearing it.

Soap.Club Review

I love different types of fragrances soaps, soaps that are not just your typical store bought kind.  I love soaps that are hand crafted and home made, that not only has natural ingredients, but also have their own unique scents and colors.  I will admit, if I see a soap that is 'pretty in color', I typically am drawn to it.

This Soap that I received, was the Plumeria Island Escape scent.  It is a pretty pinkish swirl bar of soap, that is larger and perfect square shaped.  The scent is awesome!  As soon as I removed the soap from it's box, you could instantly smell it.  It has this wonderful floral relaxing scent that I can't get enough of!

This soap is by Soap.club and they have many many scents to choose from, such as: Plumeria Island Escape, Kona Coffee, Summer Citrus Fruit, Sweet Pea and many more. Soap.club ages their soap up to 6 weeks and is made with the purest ingredients that will waken up your senses.  Soap.club makes every single bar by hand, from the stirring to the actual shaping and boxing of their soaps. They take pride in what they do,and it shows in their product.

The soaps are cold pressed, to enhance the fragrance.  When you use the soap, it lathers really really well and feels almost like lotion.  If you think this soap smells wonderful when you first open it up, wait until you lather up with it.  It's like being indulged by the fragrance.

Today, I would like to feature an Etsy Seller, Teena Stewart, who also has her own blog...Serendipitini.  She has an Etsy Store, Serendipitini, that features many handmade items, such as Hanging Lantern made from wine bottles, Window Art Suncatchers, plus much more.

This has got to be one of the most unique things I've seen, made from glass.  I love the color, I love the simplicity yet artistic look of this spoon rest.  I don't believe you will find another spoon rest like this!
